PURSUANT to regulation 21 of the Environment Management and Co-ordination (Impact assessment and Audit) Regulations, 2003, the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has received an environmental impact assessment study report for the above proposed project. The proponent Bamburi Cement Limited proposes to mine shale and transport it from Kundutsi, Matuga Area as a key source of raw materials for the expanded clinker production in South Coast part of Kwale County.
