pursuant to the provisions of Article 178(3) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010, section 11 (1c), (2), (3), (4), (5), (6), (7) and (8) of the County Governments (Amendment) Act, 2020 and Standing Order No. 58 of the County Assembly of Kisii, on Wednesday, 26th May, 2021, the County Assembly of Kisii approved a motion for the removal from office of David Ondimu Kombo, the Speaker of Kisii County Assembly by impeachment. CONSEQUENTLY, it is notified for the information of the general public and the residents of Kisii County that the Office of the Speaker of the County Assembly became vacant on Wednesday, 26th May, 2021. Interested persons who qualify to be elected as the Speaker of the County Assembly are therefore invited to submit their nomination papers for election to the Office of the Speaker of the County Assembly of Kisii. Nomination papers can be collected from the Office of the Clerk of the County Assembly at the County Assembly of Kisii Offices, during working hours from Monday, 31st May, 2021. Completed nomination papers, together with the curriculum vitae of the candidate and relevant supporting documents should be submitted to the Office of the Clerk of the County Assembly, not later than Friday, 4th June, 2021 at 4.00 p.m. Dated the 27th May, 2021.
