THE CONSTITUTION
(No. 2 OF 1998)
REGULATION
PURSUANT to the provisions of Standing Order 29(3) of the
Standing Orders of the National Assembly, it is notified for the
information of the Members of the National Assembly and the general
public that Special Sittings of the Assembly shall be held on
Wednesday, 29th December, 2021 (morning and afternoon)
commencing at 10110 a.m. and 2.30 p.m., respectively, in the National
Assembly Chamber, Main Parliament Buildings, Nairobi, for purposes
of-
1. Tabling of an Addendum Report by the Departmental
Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs on the harmonization of the
proposed amendments to the Political Parties (Amendment) Bill
(National Assembly Bill No. 56 of 2021) pursuant to the provisions of
National Assembly Standing Order 131, if available;
2. Tabling of any other urgent Papers including statutory
instruments and regulations with statutory timelines;
3. Conveyance of any urgent Messages from the National
Executive and/or the Senate;
4. Transaction of the following Business —
(a) Second Reading, Committee of the Whole House and Third
Reading of The Public Procurement and Asset Disposal
(Amendment) Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 32 of
2021); and
(b) Consideration in Committee of the Whole House and Third
Reading of the Political Parties (Amendment) Bill
(National Assembly Bill No. 56 of 2021).
It is further notified that, if need arises, the House may hold
evening sitting on the prescribed date, for purposes of concluding any
business scheduled for consideration herein.
The Order Paper for the said Special Sittings will be available in
the Office of the Clerk of the National Assembly and will also be
published on the Parliamentary Website.

THE KENYA GAZETTE
THE following notes are for the guidance of persons submitting "copy" for
inclusion in the Kenya Gazette, Supplement, etc.:
(1) The Kenya Gazette contains Notices of a general nature which do not
affect legislation, They are, therefore, submitted to the Government
Printer directly.
(2) Legislative Supplement contains Rules and Regulations which are
issued by the National or County Governments. Because of this, they
must be submitted to the Government Printer through the office of the
Attorney—General.
(3) Bill Supplement contains Bills which are for introduction in the
National Assembly, Senate or County Assemblies.
(4) Act Supplement contains Acts passed by the National Assembly,
Senate or County Assemblies.
All "copy" submitted for publication should be prepared on one side of an
A4 sheet no matter how small the Notice is, each page being numbered and
should be typed with double spacing. Copy should be clear, legible and contain
no alterations.
Particular attention should be paid to the following points:
(i) Signature must be supported by rubber—stamping or typing the name
of the signatory in capital letters.
(ii) Must be correct and filled in where necessary.
(iii) Care should be taken to ensure that all headings to Notices and
references to legislation are up to date and conform with the Revised
Edition of the Laws of Kenya.

A.30 (1) All communication for publication in the Kenya Gazette should
reach- the Government Printer not later than Friday of the week before
publication is desired.
(2) A State Department will be required to meet the cost of advertising in the
Kenya Gazette.
It is emphasized that these notes are for guidance only, but it is requested
that persons submitting copy for publication first satisfy themselves that such
copy is complete in every respect.
