PURSUANT to the provisions of Standing Order 29(3) of the Standing Orders of the National Assembly, it is notified for the information of the Members of the National Assembly and the general public that Special Sittings of the Assembly shall be held on Wednesday, 29th December, 2021 (morning and afternoon) commencing at 10110 a.m. and 2.30 p.m., respectively, in the National Assembly Chamber, Main Parliament Buildings, Nairobi, for purposes of- 1. Tabling of an Addendum Report by the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs on the harmonization of the proposed amendments to the Political Parties (Amendment) Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 56 of 2021) pursuant to the provisions of National Assembly Standing Order 131, if available; 2. Tabling of any other urgent Papers including statutory instruments and regulations with statutory timelines; 3. Conveyance of any urgent Messages from the National Executive and/or the Senate; 4. Transaction of the following Business — (a) Second Reading, Committee of the Whole House and Third Reading of The Public Procurement and Asset Disposal (Amendment) Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 32 of 2021); and (b) Consideration in Committee of the Whole House and Third Reading of the Political Parties (Amendment) Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 56 of 2021). It is further notified that, if need arises, the House may hold evening sitting on the prescribed date, for purposes of concluding any business scheduled for consideration herein.
