GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 13791

NOTICE is given to all Senators that pursuant to Standing Order 30 (1) of the Senate Standing Orders, on the request of the Senate Majority Leader, with the support of the requisite number of Senators, I have appointed Tuesday, 21st December, 2021 and Wednesday, 22nd December, 2021, as days for special sittings of the Senate. The sittings shall be held at the Senate Chamber, Main Parliament Buildings, Nairobi. The morning sittings shall commence at 10.00 am., while the afternoon sittings shall commence at 2.30 p.m. The business to be transacted at the sittings shall be the consideration of — (a) the Budget Policy Statement for Financial Year 2022/2023; (b) the Report of the Standing Committee on Labour and Social Welfare on the Status of the New Dandora Stadium in Nairobi City County; (c) the Cotton Industry Development Bill, (Senate Bills No. 55 of 2021); (d) the County Oversight and Accountability Bill (Senate Bills No. 17 of 2021); (e) the County Governments Grants Bill, (Senate Bills No. 35 of 2021); (f) the Kenyan Sign Language Bill, (Senate Bills No. 5 of 2021); (g) the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood) Bill (Senate Bills No. 7 of 2021); (h) the County Hall of Fame Bill (Senate Bills No. 9 of 2021); (i) the Heritage and Museums Bill (Senate Bills No. 22 of 2021); (j) the County Governments (Amendment) Bill, (Senate Bills No. 38 of 2021); (k) the Law of Succession (Amendment) Bill, (Senate Bills No. 15 of 2021); (l) the Lifestyle Audit Bill (Senate Bills No. 36 of 2021); (m) the Kenya Citizenship and Immigration (Amendment) Bill (Senate Bills No. 33 of 2021); (n) the Intergovernmental Relations (Amendment) Bill, (Senate Bills No. 37 of 2021); and (o) any other business that may be transmitted to the Senate by the National Assembly. In accordance with Standing Order 30 (5) of the Senate Standing Orders, the business specified in this notice shall be the only business before the Senate during the special sittings, following which the Senate shall stand adjourned until Tuesday, 8th February, 2022 in accordance with the Senate Calendar.
