GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 2595

IT IS notified for the general information of the public that pursuant to the provisions of Article 189 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 sections 6, 34 and 36 of the County Governments Act, and section 26 of Intergovernmental Relations Act, that the National Government through the Ministry of Education and the County Government of Turkana have entered into an Intergovernmental Partnership Agreement dated the 14th January, 2026, on issuance of bursaries and scholarships. The objective of this Agreement is to: (a) Promote transparency and accountability in the utilization and management of bursaries and scholarships in the education sector; (b) Promote sharing of resources in education service delivery; (c) Enhance and promote equitable access to quality and inclusive education; (d) Enhance corporation in the issuance of bursaries and scholarships to primary, special education, secondary, universities and tertiary educational institutions within Turkana County.
