PROPOSED ACQUISITION

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 42 (1) of the Competition Act, 2010, the Competition Authority of Kenya excludes the proposed acquisition of the assets of Me To We Limited by Araveli For Mamas Limited from the provisions of Part IV of the Act due to the following reasons— (a) the acquisition will not affect competition negatively; and (b) the acquirer had no turnover for the preceding year 2016 while the target’s turnover for the preceding year 2016 was KSh. 68,840,984 and therefore, meets the threshold for exclusion under the Merger Threshold Guidelines.
