IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 9 (1) of Urban Areas and Cities Act, 2011, complemented by section 72 of the Interpretations and General Provisions Act, and upon approval by the Samburu County Assembly in its plenary session held on the l7th May, 2018, I, Moses Kasaine Lenolkulal, Governor of Samburu County, confer the status of Municipality to Maralal Town following the grant of the Municipal Charter on 21st May, 2018.
