THE COUNTY GOVERNMENTS ACT

DECLARATION

IT IS notified for the information of the general public that pursuant to section 12 (3) (d) of the County Governments Act, 2012, that provides that the County Assembly Service Board shall consist one man and one woman appointed by the County Assembly from amongst persons who are experienced in public affairs, but are not members of the County Assembly; the Secretary to the Board declares vacancies for the two members and invite interested qualified persons to apply. The qualifications are as set out under section 9 (1) of the County Assembly Services Act, 2017: (a) Is a citizen of Kenya. (b) Holds a degree from a university recognized in Kenya. (c) Has at least ten years’ experience in public affairs. (d) Meets the requirements of leadership and integrity in Chapter Six of the Constitution. Applications should reach the Secretary to the Board on or before Friday, 14th October, 2022. Dated the 26th September, 2022.
