IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 3 (1) of the Protected Areas Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Co- ordination of National Government makes the following Order— THE PROTECTED AREAS ORDER, 2022 1. This Order may be cited as the Protected Areas Order, 2022 2. The areas or places in Turkana County described in the Schedule are declared to be protected areas for purposes of the Act and no person shall be in the specified areas without permission of the prescribed authority or the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Co- ordination of National Government. 3. For purposes of this Order, the prescribed authority shall be Commander of the Kenya Army, Commander of the Kenya Airforce or the Cabinet Secretary for Defence. SCHEDULE 1.
