in accordance
with Article 106 of the Constitution and pursuant to Standing Order 4
of the Senate Standing Orders.
Any person who is eligible for election as Speaker of the Senate in
terms of Article 106 (1) (a) of the Constitution and who is interested in
contesting for this position is advised to collect nomination papers
from the Office of the Clerk of the Senate, 1st Floor, Main Parliament
Buildings, Nairobi, as follows:
(a) Monday, 5th September, 2022 between 1.00 p.m. and 8.00
p.m.;
(b) Tuesday, 6th September, 2022 between 7.00 a.m. and 8.00
p.m.; and
(c) Wednesday, 7th September, 2022 between 7.00 a.m. and
2.00 p.m.
Completed nomination papers, together with each candidate’s:
(a) curriculum vitae;
(b) copy of National Identity Card/Passport;
(c) two coloured passport photos;
should be returned to the Office of the Clerk of the Senate not later
than 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, 7th September, 2022.
