GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 10712

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by Articles 88 (5), 90 and 177 of the Constitution, section 4 (n) of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Act, 2011 and sections 34, 35, 36 and 37 of the Elections Act, 2011, and Regulations 54, 55 and 56 of the Election (General) Regulations, 2012 and Regulation 26 of the Election (Party Primaries and Party Lists) Regulations, 2017, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission gives notice to the public that the persons listed in the 2nd Column to the schedules stand validly nominated to the County Assemblies representing the Political Parties listed in the respective schedule. The number of seats referred to in the 7th and 6th Columns to the First and Second Schedules respectively have been allocated to the political party qualifying for the special seats envisaged under Article 177 of the Constitution proportionate to the total seats won during the General Election held on the 9th August, 2022. Schedule 1 provides for nominated marginalized members to the County Assemblies. Schedule 2 provides for nominated Gender Top Up members to the County Assemblies.
