GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 402

PURSUANT to Section 58(A)(1) of the County Governments Act, (as amended by the County Governments (Amendment) Act 2020) and with the approval of the County Assembly that I, Abdi Ibrahim Hassan, the Governor of Isiolo County, hereby appoint the following persons to be members of the Selection Panel for the Recruitment of the Chairperson of the County Public Service Board; 140 140 1. Isack Kara Boru (Chairperson); 2. Nuria Mubarak (Member); 3. Linus Thuranira Gichunge (Member); 4. Peter Muhuha Ngechu; and 5. Rebecca Mwonjiru Munya (Member). The terms of reference of the Selection Panel will be: (a) to formulate and undertake the advertisement of a vacancy in the office of the Chairperson of the County Public Service Board and to receive applications in respect of the said vacancies; (b) to undertake the long listing and short listing of the applications received under paragraph (a) above; (c) to prepare and publish the interview schedule of the candidates shortlisted for the stated vacancy; (d) to conduct the interviews of the shortlisted applicants and thereafter forward two (2) names of the successful applicants to the County Governor for onward transmission of his nominee to the County Assembly for vetting and approval. In the performance of its task, the Selection Panel: (a) shall regulate its own procedure; (b) shall be facilitated by the Office of the County Secretary and the County Department of Finance as may be appropriate to the effective discharge of its mandate; and (c) shall submit a final report of its activities to the Governor at the end of its term. The mandate of the Selection Panel shall be effective for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of this publication. Dated the 8th January, 2026. ABDI I.
