IT IS notified for the information of the general public that pursuant to section 21 (1) of the Elections Act, 2011 and Standing Order 4 of the County Assembly of Samburu, the Office of the speaker of the County Assembly of Samburu is vacant following resignation of the Speaker on 16th May, 2023 pursuant to provisions of section 11 (1) (d) of the County Governments Act, 2012. Interested persons who qualify to be elected as Members of County Assembly but are not such members are therefore invited to submit their nomination papers for election to the Office of Speaker of the County Assembly of Samburu. Nomination papers can be collected from the Office of the Clerk of the County Assembly at the County Assembly of Samburu offices, Maralal, during working hours. Completed nomination papers, together with the curriculum vitae of the candidate and relevant supporting documents, should be submitted to the Office of the Clerk of the County Assembly at the County Assembly of Samburu offices, Maralal, not later than 5.00 p.m, on 28th May, 2023.
