THE PHYSICAL AND LAND USE PLANNING ACT

(No. 13 of 2019)

ACT

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 47 of the Physical and Land Use Planning Act, 2019, Articles 6, 10 (2), 60, 66, 67, 184, 186 and the First and Fourth Schedules of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, the National Land Commission Act, 2012, the County Governments Act, 2012, the Urban Areas and Cities Act, 2011, and other enabling legislations, notice is given that the County Government of Kiambu in conjunction with the Ministry of Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development intends to prepare a plan for the of the above mentioned area. This exercise will be carried out under Second Kenya Informal Settlements Improvement Project (KISIP2), a Government of Kenya project whose aim is to improve access to basic services and land tenure security of residents in participating urban informal settlements and strengthen institutional capacity for slum upgrading in Kenya. The process will be participatory and therefore all stakeholders are invited to give their views, comments, make enquiries or suggestions relating to the said Plan. This may be done in writing to the; The County Director of Physical Planning, Kiambu County, P.O. Box 2344–00900, Kiambu. Dated the 23rd March, 2023.
