FURTHER, pursuant to Article 88 (2) of the Constitution, a person shall be disqualified for appointment as a Member of the IEBC, if the person— (a) has at any time within the preceding five years, held office, or stood for election as a Member of Parliament or County Assembly or has been a member of the governing body of a political party; or (b) holds any State Office. Application Process (a) Applicants should attach— (i) A cover letter; (ii) A certified copy of their National Identity Card or Passport; (iii) Curriculum Vitae; (iv) Academic and professional certificates; and (v) Any other supporting documents and testimonials. (b) Applicants shall be required to attach to their applications current and valid clearances from the following bodies: (i) Kenya Revenue Authority; (ii) Higher Education Loans Board; (iii) Credit Reference Bureau; (iv) Directorate of Criminal Investigations; and (v) Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission. (e) Applications and supporting documentation may be— (i) hand-delivered in a sealed envelope between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to the Secretariat of the Selection Panel for the Recruitment of Nominees for Appointment of the Chairperson and Members of the IEBC, CPA Room, Senate Gate, Main Parliament Buildings; or (ii) submitted online as a PDF file format attachment by emailing to iebcselectionpanel2023@parliament.go.ke (f) All applications must be received on or before Tuesday, 28th March, 2023, at 5.00 p.m. (East African Time).
