IT IS notified for general public information that the Governor, Nyamira County, has established a Committee to be known as the Nyamira County Pending Bills Review and Verification Committee, 2023, to receive and verify pending bills, as at 31st May, 2023 and prepare a report. Edward Magare Member Everlyn Abuga Member Willis Nyagarama Member John Kimani Member Jemimah Abuga Member The terms of reference of the committee shall be to— (a) receive, verify, scrutinize and analyze all existing bills, with a view of making appropriate recommendations to the County Treasury. (b) develop a clear procedure and criteria for handling of existing pending bills; (c) identify instances (if any) of fraudulent, corrupt and false claims against the County Government and make appropriate recommendation; (d) advice County Government on an appropriate arrangement of payment of verified pending bills; (e) advice on management of future bills and payables to avoid delay in payment; and (f) perform any other function incidental to the foregoing. In the performance of its functions, the committee— (a) shall hold such number of meetings at such places and such times as the committee shall consider necessary for the proper discharge of its mandate. (b) may consult with County Executive Committee Member, Finance on any matter within its mandate. (c) Shall have access to reports of any previous investigations relevant to its mandate. The assignment shall take ten (10) days (or such longer period as the Governor may authorize) from the date of appointment to submit a report to the Governor.
