GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 2

NOTICE is given to all Members of the County Assembly of Meru pursuant to Standing Order No. 30 (1) of the County Assembly of Meru Standing Orders, on the request of the Leader of the Majority Party, that a special sitting of the County Assembly shall be held in the Assembly Chamber, County Assembly of Meru premises, situate along Kenyatta Highway, adjacent to the Meru Museum, on Friday, the 6th January, 2023, at 10.00 a.m. The business to be transacted at the sitting shall be— (a) laying on the table the Report of the Meru County Assembly Service Board on the interviews of the shortlisted candidates for the position of the Clerk of the Assembly; and (b) the consideration of the Report of the Meru County Assembly Service Board on the interviews of the shortlisted candidates for the position of the Clerk of the Assembly. In accordance with the provision of Standing Order No. 30 (4) of the County Assembly of Meru Standing Orders, the business specified in this notice shall be the only business before the County Assembly during the special sitting following which the County Assembly shall stand adjourned until Tuesday, the 14th February, 2023, at 10.00 a.m. when the County Assembly shall continue with its regular sessions in accordance with the County Assembly’s Calendar.
