THE NATIONAL POLICE SERVICE ACT

DECLARATION

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 106 (1) of the National Police Service Act, 2011, the Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration, in consultation with the National Security Council, declares the following parts and areas of Marsabit County as disturbed and dangerous areas, namely, the Mining sites within the general Hillo Area in Dabel Location of Golbo Division: 1. Hillo Gorgora 2. Hillo Orofa 3. Hillo Walkite 4. Hillo Tanzania 5. Hillo Irress Abamartille 6. Hillo Gootu 7. Hillo Tessum Qalicha 8. Hillo Karray 9. Hillo Hudda 10. Hillo Qoranjido 11. Hillo Irress Shindia 12. Hillo Rabaalee 13. Hillo Godde Haroressa Further, pursuant to section 8 (1) of the Public Order Act, no person may be found present in the afore specified areas at any time from the date hereof without written authority from the County Police Commander of Marsabit County. This notice takes effect from 0630 Hrs on the 14th March, 2024, for a period of thirty (30) days and may be withdrawn, varied, continued or otherwise altered as appropriate and as the Cabinet Secretary may direct.
