NOTICE is given to all Members of the County Assembly of Kirinyaga that pursuant to Standing Order No. 26 of the County Assembly Standing Orders, on the request of the Leader of the Majority Party, I have appointed Thursday, 8th August, 2024, as a day for special sittings of the County Assembly as follows: 1. 9.00 a.m. special sitting for— (a) Tabling of public participation report on the County Government of Kirinyaga Budget estimates for FY 2024/2025. (b) Tabling of the report of the County Assembly Budget and Appropriations Committee on the scrutiny of the County Government of Kirinyaga Budget Estimates for the FY 2024/2025. (c) Notice of motion for the adoption of the County Assembly Budget and Appropriations Committee report on the scrutiny of the County Budget Estimates for the County Executive and County Assembly for the FY 2024/2025. 2. 10.00 a.m. special sitting for— (a) Motion for the adoption of the County Assembly Budget and Appropriations Committee Report on the scrutiny of the County Budget Estimates for the County Executive and County Assembly for the FY 2024/2025. (b) 1st reading of the Kirinyaga County Appropriation Bill, 2024 (Assembly Bill No. 1 of 2024). 3. 1.00 p.m. special sitting for— (a) 2nd reading of the Kirinyaga County Appropriation Bill, 2024 (Assembly Bill No. 1 of 2024). (b) Committee of the whole County Assembly-consideration of the Kirinyaga County Appropriation Bill, 2024 (Assembly Bill No. 1 of 2024). 4. 3.00 p.m. special sitting for— (a) 3rd reading of Kirinyaga County Appropriation Bill, 2024 (Assembly Bill No. 1 of 2024). The special sittings shall be held in the County Assembly Chambers, Kerugoya. In accordance with Standing Order 26 (3) of the County Assembly of Kirinyaga Standing Orders, the business specified in this notice shall be the only business before the County Assembly during the special sittings.
