IT IS notified for information of the general public that, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 (1) of Urban Areas and Cities Act, 2011 and pursuant to a resolution of Busia County Assembly in its sitting of the second Assembly, fourth session held on Thursday, 5th March, 2020, I, Sospeter Odeke Ojaamong, the Governor of Busia County granted the status of a Municipality on Malaba Town by a Charter dated the 27th March, 2020, and appoint the first day of April, 2020 when the said Charter came into operation.
