GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 4577

PURSUANT to the provisions of standing Order 29 (3) of the National Assembly Standing Orders, it is notified for the information of the Members of the National Assembly and the general public that a special sitting of the Assembly shall be held in the National Assembly Chamber, Main Parliament Buildings, Nairobi on Wednesday, 15th July, 2020, morning and afternoon sittings, commencing at 10.30 a.m. for purposes of— (a) reporting of any Messages received from the Executive and the Senate; (b) tabling of the Report of the relevant Committee on the consideration of the nominee for appointment to the Office of the Auditor-General; (c) laying of any Papers relating to further measures taken or proposed to be taken to address the COVID-19 Pandemic and related emergency in the country; and transacting the following business— (i) notice of Motion and consideration of the nominee for appointment to the office of the Auditor-General; (ii) consideration of Motions for approval of reconstitution of specified Committees of the National Assembly; (iii) consideration of the Third Generation Formula for Revenue Allocation among Counties pursuant to Article 217 of the Constitution, upon receipt from the Senate; (iv) consideration at all stages of the County Allocation of Revenue Bill, 2020, upon receipt from the Senate; and (v) consideration of any further legislative measures to cushion the country from the effects of COVID-19, upon receipt.
