DECLARATION

PURSUANT to section 7 of the County Governments (Amendment) Act, 2020, and Standing Order 5 (2) (d) of the Nairobi City County Assembly Standing Orders, the Office of the Speaker of Nairobi City County Assembly fell vacant following the resignation of Hon. Beatrice K. Elachi, CBS. CONSEQUENTLY, pursuant to the provisions of Standing Order 30 (3) of the Nairobi City County Assembly Standing Orders, it is notified for the information of the Members of the Nairobi City County Assembly and the general public that there will be a special sitting of the Assembly on Friday, 14th August, 2020 for purposes of electing the Speaker in accordance with applicable provisions of the Nairobi City County Assembly Standing Orders. The sitting will be held on Friday, 14th August, 2020 in the Assembly Chambers, Chamber Galleries and Members Lounge, City Hall Building, Nairobi, commencing at 2.30 p.m. JOHN KAMANGU, Ag.
