PURSUANT to. regulation 21 of the Environmental (Impact Assessment and Audit) Regulations, the National Environmcnt Management Authority (NEMA), has received an environmental ' im act assessment study report for the yroposed executive townP houses in Lavington, Nairobi by Dalani Limlted. ' The proposed project Will be situated along Ndotto Road, on plot L.R. No. 3734/612, in 'Lavington, one of the upper class residential areas of Nairobi. The site is in close proximity to many shopping centres and malls. The objective of the project is to develop eight (8) up-market town houses. Tlke project anticipates the following impacts and mitigation measures: Possible impacts Mitigation measures 1. Occupational health and . (a) P rov id e w o rkers with safety appropriate personal protective clothing. (b) Provide the workers with a well-' stocked First Aid box. Destmction of the physical (a) Replant trees in areas where environment: Soil erpsipn vegetation is unnecessarily and loss of biodiversity removed.
