IT IS notified for the general information of the public that the Cabinet Secretary for Education, pursuant to the provisions of section 8 of the Statutory Instruments Act, (Cap. 2A) has prepared a Regulatory Impact Statement on the impacts and likely impacts of the proposed Kenya National Qualifications Framework (General) Regulations, 2025 on stakeholders, members of the public and other persons likely to be affected by the proposed Regulations. 1. The proposed Regulations are the Kenya National Qualifications Framework (General) Regulations, 2025. 2. The proposed Regulations have been developed pursuant to section 29 of the Kenya National Qualifications Framework Act, (Cap. 214), and the main objective of the Regulations is to provide for— (a) National Qualifications Framework, (b) National Qualifications Database, (c) System for Credit Accumulation and Transfer, (d) Registration of Qualification Awarding Bodies and National Qualifications, (e) System for assessment, examination, and certification, (f) Alignment and validation of qualifications. Any person likely to be affected by the proposed Regulations may submit a written memorandum on the proposed Regulations within fourteen (14) days from the date of this Notice.
