IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 9 (1) of Urban Areas and Cities Act, 2011, complemented by section 72 of the Interpretations and General Provisions Act, and upon approval by the Garissa County Assembly in its plenary session held on the 11th May, 2025, I, Nathif Jama Aden, Governor of Garissa County, confer the status of Municipality to Balambala Town following the grant of the Municipal Charter on the 17th May 2025.
