GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 5575

IT IS notified for public information that in accordance with Articles 1 (4), 10, 35, 61, 69, 118, 119, 196, 201 and 232 (1) (e) of the Constitution of Kenya and sections 3 and 5 of the Kilifi County Citizen Participation and Civic Education Act, the County Government of Kilifi has initiated the process of preparing its County Land Policy. The policy will capture the broad land aspirations of the Kilifi County residents and translate them into actionable strategies and plans for implementation. The plan will endeavour to optimize the county resources through organization of human activities and allocation of land into appropriate land uses for development. The County Land Policy is multi-sectoral and multi-disciplinary and requires participation of all stakeholders throughout the process of its preparation and implementation. Notice is therefore given to all residents, interest groups, individuals, organizations and development stakeholders of Kilifi County that the process of preparation of the County Land Policy is underway and any person with interest or seeking to participate in the process may communicate such interest in writing by making comments and suggestions or present their views within thirty (30) days from the date of publication of this notice to the County Secretary, County Government of Kilifi, to assist the County in the decision making process of the policy.
