IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by Articles 38 (3) (a), 83 and 88 (4) (a) and (b) of the Constitution of Kenya, sections 4 (a) and (b), 6 and 27 (1) of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Act, 2011, sections 5,7, 88 (1), (2) (a)-(b), 11 and 12 of the Elections Act, 2011 and Parts IV, V, Regulations 6, 8, 27, 42 and 44 of the Elections (Registration of Voters) Regulations, 2012, Regulation 98 of the Elections (General) Regulations, 2012, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission notifies the public that continuous registration of citizens as voters and the regular revision of the voters’ roll shall commence on Monday, 29th September, 2025. Eligible Kenyan citizens may visit any of the 290 Commission Constituency Offices countrywide to: 1. Register as a voter; 2. Transfer their registration to a different electoral area; 3. Correct or update their voter particulars; or 4. Inspect their registration status. Notes: (a) All eligible Kenyan citizens who have attained the age of eighteen (18) years and are in possession of a valid national identity card or a valid Kenyan passport to register as voters. (b) There shall be no continuous registration of citizens as voters and the regular revision of the voters’ roll in electoral areas with scheduled by- elections. (c) Registration of citizens as voters and the regular revision of the voters’ roll shall be conducted from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). (d) The Commission shall issue a notice for the commencement of registration of Citizens as voters and the regular revision of the voters’ roll for citizens residing outside the Country and Prisoners.
