PURSUANT to Section 11 of the County Governments Act, 2012, section 21 of the Elections Act, 2011 and Standing Order 59 of the Kilifi County Assembly Standing Orders, it is notified for general information that a vacancy has arisen in the Office of the Speaker of the County Assembly of Kilifi following the adoption of a Motion for Removal of Hon. Teddy Ngumbao Mwambire as the Speaker of the County Assembly of Kilifi on Monday, 30th June, 2025. Interested persons who fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six and Article 193 of the Constitution of Kenya and section 25 of the Elections Act, 2011 are invited to submit their duly filled nomination forms for election to the Office of the Speaker of the County Assembly of Kilifi. Nomination forms can be obtained from the Office of the Clerk of the County Assembly at the Assembly Buildings, located behind Immigration offices, Malindi, during working hours from Wednesday 2nd July, 2025 to Friday, 11th July, 2025 between 9.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m. Application Criteria Persons interested in filling the above position should submit: (a) Duly filled nomination forms; (b) A copy of the curriculum vitae (CV); (c) Certified copy of the National Identity Card or Passport. (d) Certified copies of academic and professional certificates; (e) Clearance from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC); (f) Tax compliance certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority; (g) Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB); (h) Clearance Certificate from the National Police Service (Certificate of Good Conduct); and (i) Clearance Certificate from the Credit Reference Bureau (CRB); The aforementioned documents should be hand delivered to the Office of the Clerk of the County Assembly at least forty-eight (48) hours before the County Assembly assembles for the purposes election of the Speaker, that is not later than Thursday, 17th July, 2025 at 2.30 p.m Dated the 1st July, 2025.
