GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 15229

IT IS notified for the general information of the public that pursuant to the provisions of Article 187 of the Constitution of Kenya, sections 6, 34, and 36 of the County Governments Act, section 26 of the Intergovernmental Relations Act, the National Government through the Ministry of Education and the County Government of Mombasa have entered in to an intergovernmental partnership agreement dated the 27th May, 2025 on issuance of bursaries and scholarships. The objectives of this agreement is to: (a) Provide for structural framework for partnership between the National Government and the County Government in issuance of bursaries and scholarship; (b) Promote transparency and accountability in the utilization and management of bursaries and scholarships in the education and training sector; (c) Promote sharing of resources in education service delivery; (d) Enhance and promote equitable access to quality and inclusive education; (e) Facilitate an inclusive and collaborative approach in the provision and management of bursaries and scholarships. The agreement became effective on the 1st June, 2025.
