GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 16208

IT IS notified for the general information of the public that pursuant to Article 187 of the Constitution of Kenya, sections 6, 34 and 36 of the County Governments Act and section 26 of the Intergovernmental Relations Act, the National Government through the Ministry of Education and the County Government of Kisii have entered into an intergovernmental partnership agreement dated the 4th June, 2025, on issuance of bursaries and scholarships. The objectives of this Agreement are to— (a) provide for a structural framework for partnership between the National Government and the County Government of Kisii on issuance of bursaries and scholarships; (b) promote transparency and accountability on the utilization and management of bursaries and scholarships in the education sector; (c) promote sharing of resources on education service delivery; and (d) enhance and promote equitable access to quality and inclusive education. The Agreement shall become effective fourteen (14) days after publication and gazettement of this Agreement.
