THE LAND REGISTRATION ACT

(No. 3 of 2012)

REGISTRATION

WHEREAS Catherine Wanduma Irungu (deceased), is registered as proprietor of all that parcel of land containing 0.405 hectare or thereabouts, known as Gaturi/Weru/2056, situate in district of Embu, and whereas the Chief Magistrate’s Court at Embu in Succession Cause No. E41 of 2022, has issued letters of administration to Luke Mwangi Irungu, and whereas the said Luke Mwangi Irungu has executed an application to be registered as proprietor by transmission in respect of the said parcel of land, and whereas sufficient evidence has been adduced to show that the land title deed is lost, notice is given that after the expiration of thirty (30) days from the date hereof, provided no valid objection has been received within that period, I intend to dispense with the production of the said land title deed and proceed with registration of the said application to be registered as proprietor by transmission in favour of Luke Mwangi Irungu, and upon such registration the land title deed issued earlier to the said Catherine Wanduma Irungu (deceased), shall be deemed to be cancelled and of no effect.
