the following positions: 1. Member of The County Assembly Service Board of the County Assembly of Meru (1 Post) – (Male) Pursuant to the provisions of Article 176 of the Constitution of Kenya, which establish a County Assembly for each County Government in the Republic of Kenya as read together with Section 12 (3) (d) of the County Government Acts, 2012, sections 8 and 9 of the County Assembly Services Act, 2017 and the First Schedule thereto, the County Assembly of Meru invites applications from qualified persons for the position of male member of the Meru County Assembly Service Board. For Appointment as a Member of the Board, a person should: 1. Be a male above 18 years; 2. Be a Kenyan citizen; 3. Hold a degree from a University recognized in Kenya; 4. Have at least ten (10) years’ experience in public affairs; and 5. Meet the requirements of leadership and integrity in Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya. 2. Deputy Clerk of County Assembly (JG ‘R’ /CASB 3)- (1 Post) For appointment to this position, a person should— 1. Be a Kenyan citizen; 2. Hold a degree from a university recognized in Kenya or its equivalent; 3. Have had at least five years relevant professional experience; 4. Meets the requirements of leadership and integrity set out in Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya. The following qualifications will be an added advantage for the position of Deputy Clerk of the County Assembly; 1. Served in and shown proven competence for parliamentary/County Assembly procedures and practices, and a wide experience in the role, functions and operations of a legislature through service in relevant spheres of a legislative organization; 2. A master degree or its equivalent from a university recognized in Kenya will be an added advantage; and 3. Senior Management Course (SMC) and Strategic Leadership Development Program (SLDP) from Kenya School of Government (KSG).
