WHEREAS, arising from the resolution of the Senate, a petition was filed and interim orders were issued on the 21st August, 2024, staying the furtherance or the implementation of the resolution of the Senate; WHEREAS, the High Court sitting in Nairobi on the 14th March, 2025, dismissed the petition effectively vacating the interim orders staying the furtherance or the implementation of the resolution of the Senate; WHEREAS, the Office of the Governor was filled by Rev. Isaac Mutuma M’Ethingia, the Deputy Governor then, creating a vacancy in the Office of the Deputy Governor; WHEREAS, the nominee for the position of Deputy Governor, Lindah Gakii Kiome was vetted and approved by the County Assembly on the 23rd May, 2025; WHEREAS, to facilitate the Assumption of Office of the Deputy Governor Lindah Gakii Kiome, the swearing-in of Lindah Gakii Kiome to assume the Office of the Deputy Governor shall be undertaken by the Assumption of the Office of the Deputy Governor Committee; NOW therefore, it is notified for the general information of the public that the Assumption of the Office of the Deputy Governor Committee has been constituted and shall comprise of the following: Chairperson: D.
