UNDER THE WATER ACT, 2016 AND ACCOMPANYING REGULATORY IMPACT STATEMENT PURSUANT to the provisions of section 5(3) and 8(1) of the Statutory Instruments Act, 2013, the Chief Executive Officer of the Water Resources Authority gives notice of the preparation of the proposed Guidelines for Water Allocation and Permitting Thresholds, 2025, under the Water Act, 2016. The Chief Executive Officer further gives notice of the preparation of a draft Regulatory Impact Statement to accompany the draft Guidelines as required by section 6 of the Statutory Instruments Act, 2013. 9028 9028 The Guidelines are proposed in terms of section 12(a) of the Water Act, 2016 and are intended to provide additional provisions and mechanisms for the better carrying out of the provisions of the Water Act, 2016. The Regulatory Impact Assessment is intended to address the anticipated impacts of the draft Guidelines.
