IT IS notified for the general information of the public that pursuant to the provisions of Article 187 of the Constitution of Kenya, sections 6, 34 and 36 of the County Government Act, No. 17 of 2012 and section 26 of Intergovernmental Relations Act, Cap. 265F; that the National Government through the Ministry of Education and the County Government of Uasin Gishu have entered into an Intergovernmental Partnership Agreement dated the 13th of May, 2025, on issuance of bursaries and scholarships. The objective of this Agreement is to: (a) Provide for a structural framework for partnership between the National Government and the County Government in issuance of bursaries and scholarship, (b) Promote transparency and accountability in the utilization and management of bursaries and scholarships in the education sector, (c) Promote sharing of resources in education service delivery; and (d) Enhance and promote equitable access to quality and inclusive education. The agreement became effective from the 1st June, 2025.
