THE PHYSICAL AND LAND USE PLANNING ACT

(No. 13 of 2019)

PURSUANT to the provisions of section (47 and 54) of the Physical and Land Use Planning Act, 2019 and section 38 of Urban Areas and Cities Act, 2011; notice is given that the County Planning Authority intends to initiate the process of preparing Mosoriot Urban Area Integrated Development Plan starting on the 6th January, 2026. The purpose of the plan is to bind, guide and inform developments and decisions of the urban area for a period of five (5) years The objectives of the plan are to provide basis for— (a) Resource allocation and utilization (b) Development control (c) Physical and Social infrastructure development (d) Improvement of local economic growth and development (e) Sectoral coordination and linkage (f) Environmental protection and conservation The plan preparation process will be participatory. We invite all stakeholders to make their comments/suggestions and enquiries by writing to County Executive Committee Member in charge of Physical and Land Use Planning P.O. Box 802, Kapsabet not later than twenty one (21) days from the date of this notice. Dated the 16th December, 2025.
