GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 3328

PURSUANT to the provisions of section (47) of the Physical and Land Use Planning Act and other relevant legislations and regulations, notice is given that the County Government of Narok intends to commence preparation of the above plan on the 6th February, 2026. The purpose of the plan is to provide an overall spatial framework to guide the sustainable growth and development of the area within Maji Moto Market Centre in Narok South Sub-county. The objectives of the plan are: (a) To provide a forum for stakeholder participation in plan preparation and implementation; (b) To define a vision for future growth and development of the Market Centre over the next 10-15 years; (c) To provide a basis for survey and regularization of plots and public utilities; (d) Provide and coordinate through a spatial framework the development of infrastructural facilities and services; (e) Provide a framework for settlement development by suggesting appropriate land use densities, and activity guidelines; (f) To provide the basis for development control through preparation of zoning plans, action area plans and land use regulations; (g) Identifying environmentally fragile areas and suggesting measures to ensure their protection; (h) To provide a basis for co-ordinated programming of projects and budget; (i) Provide a framework to unlock the real socio-economic potential of this Market Centre by suggesting measures to deal with underlying problems and for the exploitation of existing opportunities. Any written comments on the proposed plan may be addressed or delivered to the office of the County Executive Committee Member; Lands, Housing, Physical Planning and Urban Development, P.O. Box 898–20500, Narok Town (Municipality Office) or Ward Administrator, Naroosura Ward, (Naroosura Market Centre) during the normal working hours or through E-mail-lands@narok.go.ke within twenty one (21) days from the date of publication of this notice.
