PURSUANT to section 8 (1) of the Statutory Instruments Act, the Cabinet Secretary for Investments, Trade and Industry notifies the general public that a Regulatory Impact Statement on the proposed Kenya Accreditations Service (Fees) Regulations, 2025, has been prepared to assess the impact of the Regulations on the community and businesses. The Regulations seek to – (a) establish a clear and predictable fees regime for accreditation and related services; (b) ensure cost recovery and financial sustainability of the Kenya Accreditation Service; (c) promote fairness, transparency and non-discrimination in charging of fees; (d) support national, regional and international trade through credible accreditation services. This is therefore, to request all persons likely to be affected by the proposed Regulations to submit written memorandum to reach the undersigned within fourteen (14) days from the date of publication of this notice to the email address publicparticipation@kenas.go.ke The draft Regulatory Impact Statement and the proposed Regulations are available on www.kenas.go.ke LEE KINYAJUI, Cabinet Secretary for Investments, Trade and Industry.
