THE PHYSICAL AND LAND USE PLANNING ACT

PURSUANT to the provisions of section (47) of the Physical and Land Use Planning Act, 2019, notice is given that the County Government of Siaya intends to commence preparation of the above Plan on the 18th May, 2026. The purpose of the Plan is to guide the physical development of the Town, ensuring that the land use is organized in a way that meets the current and future needs of the population. The plan will also define the vision and growth of the Town in the next 10 years. The objectives of the Plan are to provide a GIS based thematic maps for Usenge Township, land use zoning and regulations to provide development control framework and guidelines in accordance with the land use zones and to project Usenge Town as a Port City. Comments on the proposed plan may be directed to— the County Executive Committee Member, Lands, Physical Planning, Housing and Urban Development, Siaya County, P.O. Box 803–40600, Siaya, Ardhi House, not later than twenty-one (21) days from day of notice. Dated the 18th May, 2026. AUGUSTINE N.
