THE TRANSFER OF BUSINESSES ACT
(Cap. 500)
TRANSFER
NOTICE is given pursuant to section 3 of the Transfer of
Businesses Act, that as a result of a resolution passed by members of
Mau Tea Limited ("the transferor") for voluntary winding-up of the transferor—
(a)The transferor's tea farming business ("the business") which is presented carried on under its name on L.R. Nos. 1676/5 and
6014 at Kipkelion District.
(b)The benefit of all existing contracts.between the transferor and its clients; and
(c)The rights, benefits and obligations of the transferor under contracts with suppliers in relation to the business.
Have been taken over and transferred to Mau Tea Multi-Purpote
Co-operative Society Limited ("the transferee So6lety") of P.O. Box
327, Kericho, which will carry on the business from the same premises under its name witl-effect from 1st January, 2008. -
The address of transferor is P.O. Box 127, Kericho.
The address of transferee society is P.0, Box 327, Kericho.
The transferee society is assuming and is it intended to assume all of the debts or liabilities of the transferor incurred in the business upto and including the date of the transfer and the same will be paid and discharged by the transferee society and,likewise all debts due to the transferor upto and including the date of the transfer will be received by the transferee society.
