THE CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETIES ACT

(No. 12 of 1997)

REGISTRATION

WHEREAS pursuant to section 58 of the Co-operative Societies Act, I ordered an inquiry into the by-laws, working and financial condition of Ngundu Farmers Co-operative Society Limited (CS/1266). And whereas I am of the opinion that the said society should be dissolved. Now therefore pursuant to section 61 (1) of the said Act, I cancel the registration of.the society and order that it be liquidated. And further pursuant to section 65 of the said Act. I appoint Phillip U. Uluma, Co-operative Officer, Nairobi Province, to be liquidator and authorize him to take into his custody all the property of the said society including such books and documents as are deemed necessary for completion of the liquidation. Any member of the society may within two (2) months of the date of this order, appeal to the Minister in charge of Co-operative Development against the order. If no such appeal is presented within the stipulated time the order shall take effect upon expiry thereof. Dated the 5th February, 2008. F. F. ODHIAMBO, Commissioner for Co-operative Development.
