THE ENVIRONMENTAL . MANAGEMENT AND CO-ORDINATION ACT

(No. 8 of 1999)

REGULATION


PURSUANT to regulation 21 of Environmental (Impact Assessment and Audit) Regulations, the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has received an Environmental Impact Assessment Study Report for the implementation of proposed Meru Mulika Simba Lodge, Meru National Park. The project anticipates the following impacts and mitigation measures: Possible Impacts Mitigation Measures 1.Pollution • Use of Methods that minimize nutrient load into the environment. 2.Risk of fire. • Provision of fire prevention and fire protection, maintenance of evacuation procedure.
