GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 7040

Notice is given that applications under section 18 (2) of the Mining Act have been made by Messrs. Anocls Enterprises Company, of P.O. Box 54762-00200, Nairobi, Kenya for exclusive prospecting licences to prospect for all minerals over the areas described in schedules A and B hereto and the said applications have been accepted for consideration. By virtue of section 7 (1) (d) of the mining Act, the said areas of land are therefore excluded from prospecting and or mining rights granted in respect of the areas in question or any part thereof before the date of this notice which area subsisting or any right of renewal thereof. Any objection to the grant of the exclusive prospecting licences may be made in writing and addressed to the Commissioner of Mines and Geology, P.O. Box 30009-00100, Nairobi, Kenya to reach him within thirty (30) days from the date of publication of this notice. SCHEDULE A An area of approximately 375 km. situated in Laisamis District of Eastern Province, delineated on Laisamis topo sheet Ref No. NA-37- 10 of scale 1:250,000 and more particularly described as follows: Commencing at point "A" grid reference CM 6380; thence on a grid bearing of 90° for a distance of approximately 8km to point "B" grid reference CM 7580; thence on a grid bearing of 180° for a distance of approximately 25 km. to point "C" grid reference CM 7555; thence on a grid bearing of 270° for a distance of approximately 17 km. to point "D" grid reference CM 5855; thence on Archers post- Laisamis road for a distance of approximately 27 km. to the point of commencement. SCHEDULE B An area of approximately 150 km2 situated in Moyale District of Eastern Province, delineated on Moyale topo sheet Ref No. NA-37-3 of scale 1;250,000 and more particularly described as follows: Commencing at point "A" grid reference be 9055; thence on a grid bearing of 90° for a distance of approximately 10 km. to point "B" grid reference BF 0055; thence on a grid bearing of 180° fbr a distance of approximately 15 km. to point "C" grid reference BF 0040; thence on a grid bearing of 270° for a distance of approximately HP km. to point "D" grid reference BE 9040; thence on a grid bearing of 360° for a distance of approximately 15 km. to the point of commencement. Commencing at point "A" grid reference BN 6040; thence on a grid bearing of 90° for a distance of approximately 25 km. to point "B" grid reference BN 8540; thence on a grid bearing of 194° for a distance of approximately 21 km. to point "C" grid reference BN 8020; thence on a grid bearing of 270° for a distance of approximately 20 km. to point "D" grid reference BN 6020; thence on a grid bearing of 45° for a distance of approximately 14 km. to point "E" grid reference BN 7030; thence on a grid bearing of 315° for a distance of approximately 14 km. to point of commencement. Block B: (550 km2.) Commencing at point "A" grid reference BP 0020; thence on a grid bearing of 90° for a distance of approximately 20 km. to point "B" grid reference BP 2020; thence on a grid bearing of 180° for a distance of approximately 10 km. to point "C" grid reference BP 2010; thence on a grid bearing of 135 for a distance of approximately 14 km. to point "D" grid reference BP 3000; thence on a grid bearing of 270° for a distance of approximately 40 km. to point "E" grid reference BP 9000; thence on a grid bearing of 45° for a distance of approximately 22 km. to point of commencement. Block C: (100 km2.) Commencing at point "A" grid reference BN 4040; thence on a grid bearing of 90° for a distance of approximately 10 km. to point "B" grid reference 5040; thence on a grid bearing of 180° for a distance of approximately 20 km. to point "C" grid reference BP 5020; thence on a grid bearing of 315° for a distance of approximately 22 km. to point of commencement.
