Notice is given that applications under section 18 (2) f the Mining Act have been made by-John Kilolo Mangeli, of P. . Box 18510- 00500-00500, Nairobi, Kenya for exclusive pros ling licence to prospect for diatomite over an area described in schedule hereto and the said application has been accepted for con deration. By virtue of section 7 (1) (d) of the minin Act, the said areas of land are therefore excluded from prospectin and or mining except as regards any prospecting and mining righ granted in respect of the area in question or any part thereof befo the date of this.notice which are subsisting or any right of renewal f. Any objection to the grant of the exclusive prospecting licence may be made in writing and addressed to the Commissioner of Mines and Geology, P.O. Box 30009-00100, Nairobi, Kenya to reach him within thirty (30) days from the date of publication of this notice. SCHEDULE An area of approximately 1.0 square kilometre situated in Kiambu District of Central Province, delineated on Limuru topo sheet Ref No. 148/1 of scale 1:50,000 rind more particularly described as follows: Commencing at point "A" grid reference BJ 267688; thence on a grid bearing of 18° for a distance of approximately I b km to point "B" grid reference BJ 270698; thence on a grid bearing of 130° for a distance of approximately 1.0 km. to point "C" grid reference BJ 278692; thence on a grid bearing of 198° for a distance of approximately 1.0 km. to point "D" grid reference BJ 275682; thence on a grid bearing of 310° for a distance of approximately 1.0 km. to the point of commencement Dated the 25th August, 2008.
