IT is notified for general information of the public that pursuant to the court judgment and directives for the 2007 Kamukunji elections;
tallying of the parliamentary votes will be held on 11th August, 2008 as from 830 a.m. The tallying hall/centre for the constituency located at the place described in the second column of the schedule hereunder

IT is notified for general information of the public that pursuant to the court judgment and directives for the 2007 Kamukunji elections, tallying of electoral areas elections votes will be held on 11th August, 2008 starting from 830 a.m. The tallying hall/centres famthe electoral areas listed in the second column of the schedule hereto and fell within the constituency listed in the first column of the schedule are located at the places described in the third column of the said schedule.

THE PRESIDENTIAL AND PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS
REGULATIONS
ELECTION OF MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT
IN EXERCISE of powers conferred by section 42A of the
Constitution of Kenya, section 13 of the National Assembly and
Presidential Elections Act and Regulations 8 (3) and 14 of the
Presidential and Padiamentary Elections Regulations, the Electoral
Commission gives notice that
(a)An election is to be held of members to serve in the National
Assembly for Sotik and Borne Constituencies.
(b)Each Political Party wishing to participate in the by-dections must finalize the nominations of its candidates on or before the
30th August 2008.
(c)The days for the nomination of the candidates for the parliamentary, by-elections will be on 1st and 2nd September, 2008 and nomination papers may be delivered by candidates to the returning officers of the said Constituencies between the hours of eight o'clock in the morning and one echiek in-the afternoon and between the hours of two o'clock and four o'clock in the afternoon of the days.
(d)If the parliamentary electicns are contested the poll will take place on 25th September, 2008.
NOTES:
I. . The attention of candidates and persons' subscribing nomination papers is drawn to the provision of Part N of the Presidential and
Parliamentary Elections Regulations (Cap. 7 Sub. Leg.).
2. Any person guilty of an election offence will be liable to penalties imposed by the • Election Offences Act (Cap. 66) and the disqualifications imposed by the National Assembly and
Presidential Elections Act (Cap. 7).
