GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 2320

NOTICE is given that following the request by Football Kenya Limited (FKL) vide their letter dated 9th December, 2010, on the appointment of a Board to manage the national football team, Harambee Stars, the Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports has with effect from 20th December, 2010, appointed the following persons to manage the team: Evans Kidero (Dr.)—(Chairman). Members: Stephen Isaboke. Mugo Kibati. Jack Oguda. Vimal Shah. Richard Omwela. Gina Din-Kariuki. Carole Musyoka. Gordon Oluoch—(Secretary). The Board is mandated to manage all matters pertaining to the national men‘s team, Harambee Stars, and to determine the way forward for the team. Later, its mandate may expand to include the management of the other national and age group football teams. Towards the achievement of its mandate, the Board shall form a Secretariat and recruit the services of Chief Executive Officer whose duties and responsibilities will include the running of the Secretariat on a day-to-day basis. The Board may also recruit the service of any other relevant staff, and co-opt any suitably qualified and experienced person(s) to help it achieve its mandate. The term of the Board shall commence on 20th December, 2010, and run for a period of two (2) years whereupon, the term maybe extended for a further period of two (2) years, or a new Board be constituted.
