IT IS notified for the information of the general public that the arms set out in the Schedule, granted under section 5 of the Act, have been registered with the Registrar of the College of Arms pursuant to the provisions of section 6 (1) of the Act. SCHEDULE BUTERE-MUMIAS ARMS: On an African shield in chief on a field Azure a Fig tree proper while in base on a field or bordered sable two sugar cane stems leaved proper and behind the shield in saltire two African spears of Estate shafts sable and for supporters dexter Mumia King of Wanga standing grasping a traditional ceremonial stick and sinister a leopard proper rampant underneath a compartment vert thereon a scroll Or with the words "OBULAMBA NENDE OBWATOTO" in Luhya language meaning "TRUTH AND RIGHTEO USNESS" the whole surmounted by a scroll Or with the title sable COUNTY COUNCIL OF BUTERE -MUMIAS the whole as in the margin hereof more plainly depicted. TOWN COUNCIL OF KARURI: ARMS: On an African shield in chief on a field Azure an open book Sable and Argent in Fess sitting beneath a Mukurwe Tree Two Africans representing Chief Karuri and Paramount Chief Koinange with Dexter a banana tree fructed the whole on a pasture vert and in Base on a field Argent a sprig of coffee berried all proper and behind the shield in saltire Two traditional spears the points steeled proper with in Base thereof a scroll Argent bearing the motto in the swahili language "UAMUZI THABITI" meaning "Proper Judgment" Sable the whole being surmounted by a Scroll Argent bearing the Title of ―KARURI TOWN COUNCIL " sable. Motto: ―Uamuzi Thabiti‖ MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF KEHANCHA: ARMS: On an African shield bordured sable and argent bearing traditional Kuria tribal markings sable rules and bearing per fess an elephant head cabashed proper representing the Bukiri clan sinister a leopard head cabashed proper representing the Buirege and Bugumbe Clans and Dexter a zebra‘s head couped proper representing the Nyabasi Clan and behind the shied saltire two African spears headed sable and argent and hafted Argent the whole on a compartment representing grazing finger millet with a scroll rules the motto sable in the Kuria tongue ―OBOMWE OMOREMBE AMAGENDERERIO‖ meaning ―UNITY PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT ‖ the whole surmounted by the title argent bordured azure and gules MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF KEHANCHA sable. COUNTY COUNCIL OF MAKUENI: THE KENYA GAZETTE 8th July, 2011 ARMS: Perfesse gules in base with roundel Azure inset with hills purpure and in foreground a plough argent on ploughed field vert. Chief pale argent azure with man milking Zebu cow vert and in Sinister cotton bud proper. The round or has a round vert and a round azure with lettering sabre ―MASENO UNIVERSITY‖ all serif caps on background argent between round or and round vert. The shield is on a mound argent and a scroll argent with the university Motto: ―FOUNTAIN OF EXCELLENCE‖ MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF MAUA ARMS: Quarterly argent and or in the first quarter a banana branch bearing 26 bananas proper; in the second quarter a spring of the coffee plant proper in the third quarter a spring of the tea plant proper in the fourth quarter a bunch of miraa wrapped in banana leaves proper; A Chief dancetty of five points Argent and Azure; All in front of two African spears shafted brunatre armed argent in saltire; above the shield on a scroll vert the word "MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF MAUA". Below the shield and spears a scroll bearing the words,‘‘Huduma Bora Kwa Wote‘‘ MOTTO: "Huduma Bora Kwa Wote". MOYALE COUNTY COUNCIL ARMS: Or, a camel argent statant saddled, in chief between two goat‘s heads erased confronty, a gourd Or, at helm a bull‘s head cabashed a mantle azure and or, a ribband or with the motto ―Takuman Jaben‖ MIGORI TEACHERS COLLEGE On an annulet vert a shield Or with open book argent at fesse point and in base a soccer ball proper with on either side a torch Argent enflamed gules and in chief a ribald argent with the letters ―MTTC‖ all this encircled argent and outlined sable with the words ―MIGORI TEACHERS COLLEGE‖ Motto: ―ELIMU NI MSINGI‖. KASNEB On an African shield argent a book open proper leathered sable; issuing from behind the book a rising sun or; all within a boarder azure. Behind the shield two fountain pens sable nibbed argent in saltire; the nibs in base and clips in chief. On scroll argent bordered azure the letters ―KASNEB‖ sable; below this scroll the words ―FOUNDED 1969‖ beneath the annulet a ribband Or bearing the motto ―Jitihada ni Kufaulu‘‘.
