IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 49 (1) of the Labour Relations Act, 2007, the Minister for Labour makes the following Order: (a) The Company, Kapa Oil Refineries Limited, to deduct from the wages of each unionisable employee who is not a member of Kenya Union of Commercial Food and Allied Workers herein referred to as the ―union‖ but is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (RCA No. 210 of 2010, signed between THE KENYA GAZETTE 12th August, 2011 the Union and the company a sum equal to two per cent (2%) from each employee‘s monthly gross pay (i.e. basic salary plus house allowance). (b) Deductions to commence within thirty (30) days of receiving the Order. (c) to remit within ten (10) days, the sums deducted under Item (a) by crossed cheque made payable to the union, into the Union‘s Account No. 094–182–2290 at the Barclays Bank (K) Limited, Queensway Branch, Nairobi.
