IT is notified for general information in exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the National Assembly and Presidential Elections Act, Regulation 3 (1) of the Presidential and Parliamentary Elections Regulations and pursuant to the Court of Appeal–Civil Application No. NAI. 130 of 2011 (UR.85/2011) Ruling issued on 29th July, 2011, lifting the suspension to conduct the Kamukunji By- election, that the persons appointed as returning officer and deputy returning officers by the Interim Independent Electoral Commission, in Gazette No. 2316 of 2011, remain duly appointed for the by- election to be conducted on 18th August, 2011.
