THE NATIONAL MUSEUMS AND HERITAGE ACT

(No. 6 of 2006)

DECLARATION

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 25 of the National Museums and Heritage Act, the Minister of State for National Heritage and Culture, in consultation with the National Museums of Kenya, declares sites specified in the schedule to which he considers to be of historical interest, to be protected areas within the meaning of the Act. Any objection to the declaration shall be lodged with the Minister within two (2) months from the date of publication of this notice. SCHEDULE KORA CULTURAL SITE All that area forested grove within Kora Forest known as Kora Olpurri measuring approximately 5 acres and located at geographical co-ordinates: 01.79043° south, and 036.39783° east, within Oldonyonyokie Sub-location, Oldonyonyokie Location, Magadi Division in Kajiado District. EMUGUR CULTURAL SITE All that rock shelter known as the Emugur Olpurri measuring approximately 6 metres wide and 2.5 metres high and located at geographic co-ordinates: 01.81695° south, and 036.34911° east within Oldonyonyokie Sub-location, Oldonyonyokie Location, Magadi Division in Kajiado District Dated the 21st July, 2011.
